Women's Self Defense Classes Colorado Springs
I train a small, fun group of women, eager to learn, in the weekly Women's Self Defense classes, Sunday nights. (I can work with you other nights if needed for your schedule.) Partners, parents, significant others are welcome and encouraged to attend.
They are totally thrilled when they: Easily out maneuver a much larger person, sneaking out of his grasp or throwing him, head-over-heels, effortlessly! They learn "secret" martial arts control over Ki energy resulting in more power and confidence that they have it inside of them.
They become safer. You don't want to miss it!

I include ONLY what works for a normal person (not a martial arts expert), for a woman, or for a smaller person, or for a less aggressive person; facing an aggressive menace. Every move is custom-designed for you so that they work for you. I mean I will work with you one-on-one until you get it and do it well. If for some reason you can't, I'll show you another alternative technique that works just for you. Unlike most martial arts studios, I don't rush through techniques in big groups. My goal is that if I show you a technique, we need mastery so you can do it now, not just when you are a black belt years from now.

Why train with me?
Qualified: I began my training as a small child under my father. When I was under 100 lbs as a pre teen, I would throw my Dad across the stage in Judo demonstrations. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 265! Judo concepts really work. I continued to study for decades. I've used what he taught and later added what I've learned on my own. I know what will work in real world situations because I've used them. I used the techniques in the elementary schoolyard, stopping bullies. I prevented a number of bar fights from getting out of hand in college. I've avoided real danger by tuning into my intuition. I emphasize avoidance and what will work for women, older gentlemen and smaller defenders in general.
I've focused on what will work in your personal Self Defense, for you, so you can learn more quickly and know that it will work. I expect you to be safer after the very first session. Of course the more time you put in, the better you will be.
Motives are genuine: I'm doing this so more of you will be safer!
Here are just a few related tenets to live by:
Live in Peace. Seek to Avoid trouble. Align yourself with people you want to be like. Listen to your intuition and your instincts. Listen to your heart. Move lightly through the world. Blend and don't draw unnecessary attention. Give up your ground, time, and face, to avoid conflict. Observe your own thoughts and feelings, pay more attention to your own than to that of others. Take quiet and thoughful time out for yourself. Slow down. Be fully prepared (to succeed and to be challenged at any moment) through practice. Live each day fully. Be appreciative. Breathe.
